Newcomer / Intro Destroying Certain Ships Missions

Hello fellow Commanders,

since i recently started taking PvE Missions, i am a little confused about the mechanics:

I took several Missions where xou have to destroy a number of ships from a certain faction.
So headed to a conflict zone and blasted away. But thos ships - though from the correct faction - did not count for the mission(s)
So what would be the most efficient way to destroy (or even find) those ships?

when you arrive at a conflict zone you have to choose the faction you want to fight for first.

or are you talking about the bountyhunting/pirate missions?

And i am choosing the right side (the one where i have to destroy the ships i have to destroy according to the mission)

Hm... but just to be sure:

Let´s say i habe three missions, all destroying Ships from the same faction.
1 Mission to destroy 10 Ships, the second mission to destroy 20 Ships and the last one to destroy 30 ships.
How many do i have to destroy? 30 or 60?

Maybe it´s something like this?

You need to be more specific about the mission wording as there are several types of missions that involve killing ships, each with a different procedure for completion.

Whichever type of mission you're on, when you target the ships they'll be marked as "mission target". If you don't see that, don't waste your time shooting them.

How many do i have to destroy? 30 or 60?

Maybe it´s something like this?

If your 3 missions are from the same faction, you have to kill 60.

Don't go there yet. It would depend on who gave you those missions. If they're all from the same faction: 60. If they're from three different factions: 30. Anything inbetween: do the maths. Or just start shooting and stop when you get the "mission completed" messages.

That explains ist. I thought i could take the easy way und just take severals missions and only have
to provide the highest amount of destroyed ships, bur now i have to smite way above 150 ships.
This could take a while...
So it just completes ONE mission in the bunch, then the other and so on...

If the mission is to destroy X ships from Rogers Roughnecks then in the CZ you have to choose to fight for whoever the other side is.
As has been said the number of ships you have to destroy will vary depending on the number of factions giving the missions. So if all the missions are from different providers then each ship will count for all the missions but if the missions are from the same provider then each ship will only be counted once which can lead to issues with the mission time limits if you get too many going at once.

if you get the mission all from the same faction (which is moset of the time) you need to destroy 60.

When you target a ship, it will say "mission target" in the target info box in the bottom left of the screen. Only ships that incude "mission target" will count towards the mission.

For instance, if the mission is to kill pirates, ships in a conflict zone won't count towards the mission, regardless of how many you shoot.
