We Need to talk, the Community is become the equivalent of a Call of Duty MP chatroom, every time some one makes a suggestion, its considered whining, Constructive criticism is considered whining, Heck! i made a post about how i would like to see more non exploration community events and i was called out for being a "troll". what?! if you post anything controversial its considered a troll -_-


What i am saying the forums isn't a friendly place anymore , and the mods aren't helping (with all do respect) yes they ban some one if they break the rules, this is good, but the rules are debatable/interpretable, this leads to mods being accused of being bias when they act on a post that is debatable , and i'm sure (hope) that this is not the case

then again it may just be me, people may hate me for my extremely creative forum name, but then again i seen players being made fun of in the newcomers forums for not knowing how to do something and thats the sign of a toxic community

When the community isnt allowed to breathe it gets toxic IE: no naming and shaming rule , yes obviously it has potential for trolling, but if moderated it could be a great asset to the game! i cant be the only one that wants to pick up player names i should hunt AND I DON'T EVEN PVP! tell me that's not a fun idea. yes it can be abused , but tell me, what cant be abused?


you might be asking " more or less rules make? up your mind!!" i'm not saying more or less, im saying Make The Forums Great Again!!!


i will not be responding to any one on this thread because , well obvious reasons who ever comments first is the new OP

January is the month for detoxing! Though personally I need booze and chocolate more than ever in this grimmest of months, so I generally abstain from abstention.

But people do take things verrrrry seriously on the internet. No minor error or slip can go unpunished!

Sometimes it really is.

Sometimes it just SEEMS it is.

And sometimes what was intended with "whining" wasn't what the reciever got upset at when they read "Whining".

The toxicity here is NOT because it's aping COD chatrooms, but because the PvPers currently get their game but the PvEers don't unless they abandon open.

The PvPers don't have to change and don't want to.That may be rational from a short term POV, but it's killing Open and thereby their game. But changing will change their game and it won't be what they wanted, so theyre willing to stand still and eke out as long as they can with the game as they like it.

PvP don't care for what the PvE care about and PvE have nothing to offer PvP that they want or value.

PvE don't care for what the PvP care but and PvP have Open to offer PvE that they want or value.

So line never move,because there's nothing other than collapse from PvE that would be accepted by the PvPers, and the PvE have no reason to come out of Solo or Mobius. And if PvP find there's no fun in Open any more, they'll invade Mobius. It's happened before. And it will happen again. Not all of them, but a large enough number of bodies to ruin Mobius too, or make it untebable.

PvP want PvEers to shoot at, PvE involves not doing that. And Open is being held hostage to people by PvPer so they can get their way.

And that hasn't changed and won't change until C&P gets in and starts working.

So all there is is a rehashing of the same points because there's still nothing possible to offer that will make it move. And that's frustrating to EVERYONE.

It's not toxic. It's there's a frustrating immovable issue. And it's THERE you see what you label as Toxic.

Not sure which community you guys are part of but the one I am aware of is the most friendly group of gamers I have come to know.

I do however get rather suspicious of people who cry wolf on drama that feed of drama ;) :p

I think we are compelled to come here to pay our karmic debts.

Or realise the profound truth that we filter reality through our own senses and it is how we interpret the community here that defines it.

Me, I'm not interested in this garbage, I'm here for the lolz and occasionally helping someone.

OP grow a pair :p
