Deus Ex Mankind Divided, has me divided.

Lol
While waiting for Cyberpunk 2077, I've been trying to play Deus Ex MD.
I've been a fan of Deus Ex since the beginning. And I really enjoyed Human Revolution.

But MD? I can't say I like it, at all.
First problem I came across was the utterly abysmal performance, even on lower settings, it feels like I'm controlling a drunk person. It just feels slow and unresponsive. Spent ages tweaking the graphics, and I've settled on "meh" all-round, looks bad, runs bad. Which is a step up from look ok, runs abysmally. Lol

The gameplay doesn't feel as fluid as the HR either. Hacking doesn't even seem to fit on the screen space. Which is bizarre, and makes hacking impossible.
With the performance how it is, combat is near impossible too. I'm forced to only sneak around taking people down. Takes the fun of it.
It took me several hours, just to finish the intro mission. Then I got to the city, and watched the pointlessly long cut scene, then finally got to the playable part, running around the city with no real clue what's going on, and got bored before I even figured out where to go.

Anyone else struggle with this game? IMHO it doesn't feel anything like the first one, which I really enjoyed.

I thoroughly enjoyed it in most places. There are some properly impressive and interesting locations to explore. I liked the HR a bit more, but I've found overall atmosphere to be just as good. Performance is a known problem, but you must have really old machine since I've managed to complete it the first time on my old 680 and 2500k.

It ran OK on my machine. I quite liked the combat, but I can see how a bad framerate would ruin it.It was OK but I didn't get the urge to replay it when I finished it. I played through the original Deus Ex multiple times

Well I figured out a few more bits.
Tweaked settings further so it's playable now (on my 770!).
Hacking requires using the direction keys to see the whole thing, which is daft when you're using a mouse and WASD.
Got a bit further in, sneaking in to a crime scene, but somehow managed to trigger every alarm, then just sat around a corner knocking the guards out like lemmings, one after the other. :ROFLMAO:

Then got bored again, and played Just Cause 3. Which is just insane. Hilariously insane. I love it.

I miss the original Deus Ex, I really loved that game, but it's sooooooo dated now. Lol
