Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

I get the distinct feeling this one may suffer, for many reasons, and it'll pass many people by in the same way the last Deus Ex did but have you seen the reviews? Overwhelmingly positive (bar the usual one or two suspects). 8s and 9s for the most part out of 10. Loved the first 'remake' a few years ago and I'm not glad I held off on NMS. Not that they're even remotely alike, just that I have to limit myself or my wife will divorce me ;)

Anyone else thinking of picking it up, seriously, take a look at the reviews.

Looks like is very similar to Human Revolution and is a good thing for me :)

About performance:

Seems at ultra settings have something that "eat" fps, i hope they will fix it for the release meanwhile we wait the DX12 version (delayed to September 5th).

Read a few reviews of this mainly very positive. Sadly and it is sad...the story let's it down. This annoys me especially these days when much smaller development houses like CDP (witcher 3) are showing the big boys that you can have a great looking game, excellent game play AND incredibly solid story telling.

With a huge amount of material to draw on in the deus ex universe there really is little excuse for loose story telling.

Was excited about this one, after Human Revolution I had very high expectations for this game.
Though it seems like it doesn't offer a variety in locations that HR offered, and that's my main concern.

This was a definite pre-order for me - just for the aesthetics. Love the whole 'cyber-renaissance' look, though I am a bit disappointed they've not kept the whole 'black and gold' thing going on this time around. :)

I'll still play this day one release despite my comment above I just hope I can grit through the jensen voice actor. Soooooooooo drool much gruff.

The first Deus ex was a superb game, the second? Ummmm... I'd rather let silence speak of volumes. Altrough the game mechanism was ok, but the story?

Third? I loved it!

Taaa dadadammm ta taaa daadadaammm! :D

Vaguely remember playing one of the first few games but was only properly (re-) introduced to the series with Human Revolution. Loved that game, played it through half a dozen times just for the stealth mechanics alone.

Seems to be well received aside from a simplistic fairly generic story. I'd imagine it'll be a safe bet to play and generally enjoy.

Yeah, just put a late 'preorder' in myself. Still, I'll have it by Wednesday. Looks like the story is secondary to the actual gameplay. Sounds.. familiar? I'm fine with that, as long as I get to stealth the hell out of it.

Meh, the story of DE was always kinda one-note... it wasn't anything "new" after the original. Still, MD looks really nice and - surely - plays even better then the first.

Best week to build a new PC. ;)

I bet it'll look amazing on a new PC build. Just have some pity for us poor Xbox One gamers ;)

And pre ordered. Looking forward to playing this over the UK bank holiday. Swept in a few extra days holiday on top an all. Just got my pc going again after some psu issues so this will be a nice game to break it in.

What is the point of a pre-order?

I mean, thanks and all. If the game has problems, I look forward to you folks informing the rest of us.

Some goes for if it is gangbusters awesome.

Either way, my purchase decision will occur next Monday.
