Since this was included in a DLC release (as free content), I have no doubts this will be added at some point to the game.

Frontier doesn't like to reveal too much about what's coming until it's almost here. As an example, the glass panels that we got with Update 1.2.0 had been highly requested since launch (and a similar item was in PlanCo as well), but it took quite a while to get them in Zoo. I'm sure they have plans to bring over more PlanCo features as well in the future, but all we can do is wait and see.
