DEV's Do you READ this Forum?

I see lots of posts to this forum and others making suggestions and comments about game play and improvements. I am curious if any DEVs or anyone connected to the game actually look at these forums.

If you know if it is true that the forums are reviewed by actual staff members, it would be good to know. I really hate the idea of making suggestions and comments that are just wishful thinking.

Yes they do.
They said so many times.
The list of suggestions and changes suggested by the community that have been implemented by FDev is quite long by now.
They don't fulfill all our (very often contradicting) wishes, but they do listen.
It is quite unique in the world of game development.

Yes they read this forum.

Lead Designer Sandro Sammarco reply to some ideas here and there, sometimes it can be included, sometime because it won't happens.

Recently he replied here

There were a thread managed by Moderators that were listing all summirzed ideas to implement in the future, but i cannot get my hand on it.t wasn't updated for quite some months. This thread was supposed to be read by FDev to check what ideas to implement next.

They do all the time.

But they also have jobs to do, and can't possibly reply to all the suggestions.

That'd be a full time job on its own...

On a totally unrelated note.

I need a new job, FD.

*Hint hint*

It has been proven that their is no point making suggestions or giving Frontier any kind of game ideas, even good ones are normally ignored as a matter of normal practice by them. If your not sure what I mean ask about the DDA a lot of very good ideas and promised game content that we are now never going to see in game. Or it may be faster to simply look at some of the original video's that Frontier used to show what kind of game they were supposed to be working on none of it is in game or ever likely to be in game.

Do YOU?

Devs post, and mods/community managers comment on passing info from the threads to devs. If you had read more of the threads you're talking about you'd see the 'Frontier' logo that you can click to go to the first Frontier staff member post in the thread.

Yay, another person to add to my ignore list. You know, if you want to be taken seriously, it really helps if you don't spout a lot of falsehoods.

What needs to happen is that, when the devs pick something up from the forum, they drop an, "under consideration" note into the thread.

That provides community communication and a little transparency at the negligible cost of a 30 second post without making a firm commitment that this topic is in development.

This sounds like a good idea. But unfortunately it would just lead to rage from posters whose threads didn't get the note.

Indeed. It would also lead to endless, near-identical new threads from lulzbunnies trying to waste as much of the devs' time as possible on slight variations of the same idea. Not to mention the fact that every post with a note on would be spammed with abusive nonsense, calling the devs all the [baskets] under the sun, for even considering the idea. :/
