All you need is a landable planet/moon, then permit lock it, and bring back the insanely difficult Elite NPCs with A-rated Engineered ships (I'm sure you have the code stored somewhere). You could even make this a multi-part contest, with badges and other swag for the first team to accomplish it. It would be a nice diversion in any event between updates.
