Dev's...Please don't break the way DK2 is working.

It runs buttery smooth for me. First time since September 2014. Thanks and please let it keep it current config.

Cheers
RJ☺

Have to agree, I have had the best DK2 experience in ED since beta today. Running an ancient rig (Q6600@2.4GHz, 4GB DDR2 RAM) but with a GTX 970, silky smooth 98% - beyond my wildest original hopes ... Something I have tried that seems to improve overall performance and eliminate judder is to elevate the process priority for OVRServer_x64.exe, voice attack and the ED client exe to 'high' priority. This can be done via task manager, but I am using a free utility called System Explorer to save the process priorities so they launch high by default. Recommend to anyone trying to squeeze the extra drop out of their configuration.Great Job FD.Time and space are truly warped in ED with DK2 - a quick half hour site seeing turned into 3 hours without me noticing ...B-Z

970 on that rig?

Damn man. I was bottlenecking an overclocked Q6600/DDR2 with an overclocked 465. You need to upgrade bruh. Your 970 doesn't have the ability to stretch it's legs in that system. If you think the performance is good now...

So far I am loving the quantum leaps every time I upgrade a component. I know I must be on the limits for CPU and RAM but using refmon system is rarely running maxed out. Not sure what best mobo and processor would be best match for the 970 - I am open to recommendations. Thanks :)

anything by MSI with an x99 chipset and any 2011(v3) i7 cpu. what make is your 970?

While I disagree with the MSI statement, you are def gonna want a more up to date CPU.

For example, I did this in 2013:

61st world record single GPU.jpg

With an Asus Z77 Sabertooth motherboard.
So you are gonna want to do at least that, as the 970 is faster than my Titan. The most important part of the PC is your motherboard and ram, to be honest. Yeah, your GPU does the heavy lifting, but if your motherboard doesn't have the required bandwidth to support your cpu, ram, and gpu to its fullest potential you are hurting yourself.

That's why it makes me cringe so hard to see people with a cheap dell that has a good CPU, a ton of really cheap ram (but it has 12GB SQUIDGE!), and a rockin GPU... but their performance is terrible.
