Devs, please - Slow medium landing pad blast doors

Medium landing pads' blast doors take significantly longer to lower than those of small or large pads.

I usually stay on the surface unless I need to go to Outfitting, because launching is quicker if you stay on top.

Small landing pads (for my my Cobra and Adder) show the blast doors fully or nearly lowered by the time the pad has spun you round to face the exit, and those of large pads (for my Lakon 7) are fully lowered by time I've been whipped around. But those of medium pads (for my Lakoin 6) don't even start getting lowered until I'm facing the exit, which incurs an annoying delay in launching.

Can the medium pad blast doors be made as efficient as the others, please?

If you are impatient it is WAY faster to use logoff/login to find yourself instantly either in the hangar (when already landed), or outside the station ready to fsd (after pressing launch)...

There are enough wasted time watching grass grow in ED so every shortcut is welcome ;)

I posted about this earlier.

Yes, I see you did - apologies for any thunder I have stolen! Glad to see there are others who feel the same way.

Large pads seem to be the quickest, despite their elephantine bulk.

If we must sit and watch medium pad blast doors drop (=watch paint dry), can we at least have them drop to different rhythms - they don't seem to be attached to each other?

That's an exploit though, isn't it?

I realise that there may be some deeply philosophical justification for doing it in this case, but I think I'll steer clear of it anyway.

I suspect that will be deemed an exploit, similar to combat logging, in the near future ... I wouldn't do it regularly if I were you.

Perhaps, but there are few options, a fine or ban would be overkill since relogging is only done to save time.

They can change it so that you return to the hangar if the launch animation was not completed, though hopefully they would also speed it up, especially for medium pads.

They can implement a timer before you can log back into the game, which would stop this and everything people do by instance hopping.
