Devs, will the one basic ED and one Horizons be able to run on the same PC? (with two accounts)

I've just purchased a Horizons upgrade for my normal account.

But this massive discount for the basic Elite Dangerous got me thinking. "Hey, I've always wished a second account so I can play Ironman."

Up to now, it was simple: you switch the users. What happens now (OK, once the Horizons arrive) if I change users on the same PC - one user has bought Horizons, the other is on the old ED? Will just one installation of Horizons be able to play basic ED for my second account for the basic ED?

Yes, you will have 2 different accounts but both will be able to use the same install. One will be "blocked" from Horizons content the other won't. If you use the same install for both accounts, you will need a verification code (emailed) each time you switch user :)

That verification code is emailed once and used each time I switch users, or do I need it emailed for each and every switch? (not likely, but nasty surprises are not uncommon here  )

You will be asked for a verification every time you switch. :( That's the way it has always been, quite frustrating.

However, you can make a copy of the launcher, and use different log in details for each one. Then you only need to verify once.
