Diaguandri system, Ray station: market and outfitting offline

I am a regular visitor to Ray Station in the Diaguandri, and I swear they normally have a booming market and a lovely outfitting selection. But today I find both sections are missing for the starport services list- what calamity has caused this?

Note that I've checked the local news as well as GalNet, and see no mention of UA bombing or other issues. There are, however, many mentions of how 'booming' industry is, which must be a challenge in the absence of an operational market. Does anyone have any guidance for a novice trader confused by these developments?

I don't know, but I'm prepared to take bets on guessing the spurious and freshly-minted excuses of whoever has UA-bombed the place.

My money's on some variant of "it's for your own good really" as that seems to be trendy at the moment, displacing old staples such as "heehe i am teh terorist" and "we claim this system in the name of XYZ."

Ton Canister of Lavian Brandy on it?

If we go with the theory that Bounty Hunting reduces the time, where to do it?

Diaguandri does not have any RES. Interdicting pirates would take too long and I was lurking around and there are really only few of them. 90% of vessels are clean and are sirius or brotherhood.

I know you can get bounties for the Brotherhood in other systems but does that affect the Diaguandri system?

Galnet\local news does not says it was UA bombed but who knows. But there is a clear message that system is in lockdown because of pirates.

I think this is the result of human players in an attempt to destabilise the system.

Jameson Memorial in Shinrarta Dezra is also in lockdown today, it wasn't this morning but it is now. I think some commanders are going around UA bombing popular stations.

Ah, Lockdown! Now I know: many thanks to the folks who posted that explanation here. I was looking for UA bombing reports, and never realized that lockdown was another situation that could cause what I was seeing.

If civil unrest includes pirate activity, would that mean that player pirates (i.e.: folks who blow up other player's ships and get bounties) push the system into lock down?

If player piracy can cause lockdown, that's interesting. My first reaction was frustration: as a relatively new pilot, I only know of a few 'good' options, and Diaguandri has been my 'go to' station for outfitting as well as ship upgrades. But I suppose I should appreciate the fact that this is a dynamic universe that is 'alive' with things like this happening ;)

Diaguandri back online, both were in lockdown not due to UA bombing.

Anyway to, "fix" a UA bombed station?

Sell Meta-Alloys to the station.

In the case of a lockdown you need kill pirates and hand in bounty vouchers.

Which I was going to do for 17 Draconis... popped in to Jameson Memorial to buy guns for my unarmed trade-conda and THAT system was in lockdown! I may have sulked mightily at this point.
