Diamond Back Scout Landing Gear

Is it just me or does the Landing Gear of a DS Scout take a long time to deploy?

I use deploying the gear on my scout as an emergency brake before running into the pad, the speed decrease happens right away (I think) but I have noticed the "landing gear deployed" is sometimes delayed.

Still my current favourite ship, warts and all.

Yeah, I noticed this yesterday. It definitely takes much longer than my Vulture.

Takes a long time in a db explorer too.

Its because the engines also need to rotate (If you watch one land you will see the engines swivel kinda like a Harrier) I think it does that before the gear starts to deploy
