Ships Diamondback- cockpit, hangar stats, outside view.

Did they buff the power plant hit points on the Asp? Or are the guns on the DB really that weak? It was a "Mostly Harmless" Asp and it took 55 seconds of direct hits on the PP to bring the Asp down after the shields went down. Yikes.

Flew in one of these from Hamilton Gateway to Founder's. Took only 2 jumps so I instantly like it. Much better than the 6-7 jumps it takes me in my FDL.
Of course, weapon-wise it's weaker than an Asp (not even close to an FDL) but the range is there and it scoops fuel really quick and doesn't overheat rapidly like the Courier.
Imma gonna get one on GA...and a Courier too just because it sounds like pure sex.

It's not an explorer in any way, FD really dropped the ball on the description. It's a long-range fighter/interceptor/escort for larger ships in pvp. 1v1 vs viper/cobra is fairly even and should be great fun. PVE, great RES-hunter in that you'll not take many hits and still take down 'condas and whatnot.

If you're from eve, this is your tackler. fit A-interdictor and let your homies pound on the target.

A bit disappointed in the look of it. The concept art looked so much cooler.

I think the in-game ship looks cool too, though for somewhat different reasons. I agree that it doesn't have the same look and feel as the concept art.

What bothers me about it is that it isn't at all really a viable option as an exploration ship. Basically, It's just a slightly upgraded viper with good maneuverability, hardpoint placement, view, and decent jump range. It's just a mid-level long range fighter, or something. In most ways it's less useful than the cobra.

I was hoping for a halfway decent exploration ship, nothing great even, that could also be fun for a bit of combat. Instead it looks like all we can expect from it so far is a ship that's a bit better than a Viper at bounty hunting and getting to the next system.
