My first (proper) deep space trip

I should really have started this a few months back (when I actually left the bubble), but I've been too busy exploring.

I started in the bubble, and have made my way to just beyond Colonia.

I plan to stop off at a couple of sight-seeing spots the other side of SagA, back to SagA, then back to the bubble.

Anyway, here's a screen shot of where I've been so far ...

Niiiiice. If you are like me.... at some point I couldn't wait to return and turn in all of that data... and get my name tagged on all of the earth-like planets.

I turned in the data from the bubble to Colonia at Jacques which took me from Ranger 9% to Ranger 76%.

I'm taking things very slow, so hopefully I'll be close to Elite when I get back [yesnod]

Another couple of weeks and I'm now nearly at the AGNAIRT nebula.

Notice that we're still 1808Ls from the star ... and you can start scooping not much closer ... :eek:

Also had some fun charging my FSD in a Neutron Star ... allows me to jump 135LY in my non-engineered Asp.

Well, I've now made it past 46KLY from Sol, so *only* 20K to go !!

Almost got stuck Neutron Star boosting into a very sparse area of stars.
Luckily I had some FSD boost materials which, after panicking that they didn't allow me to jump any further until you actually "synthesize" them :eek:, saved my bacon.

Why not carry on to Beagle Point since you have reached that far?
Easy-Peasy in a Standard Asp :)

Well, sorry to say this trip ended in the rebuy screen, about 10KLY short of Beagle Point.

So I've respawned at Jacques and am trying again.

No harm done, apart from several million CR in first discovery tags.

You live and learn.

Ah crap, how did this happen? I have to say that I hate the fact you lose everything if destroyed, it makes a low-paid profession a very risky one, too.

Yup, it's all Hennka77's fault :D

Foolishly tried to land on a 2.1G planet, came in too fast and the planet won.
