Did Frontier promise use of Paleobotany and Wu genes in Return to JP?

Someone on this forum told me Paleobotany and Wu genes were promised to be in any mode and future DLC, because it's paid content.

Can someone please confirm this?

No, they never promised anything about those being in the JP campaign. Those things you read were just expectations people made up as hope for their wants that ultimately didn’t happen for them, and have only brought the subject up once after it was revealed that you can’t.

The only modes they confirmed to have such stuff is Sandbox and Challenge mode. Certain stuff are for specific campaigns, but in general, everything is in campaign mode in that sense. Sometimes people need more clarity for what they really mean.

Not by Frontier themselves, but what others including yourself noticed afterwards.

Well my point is that until now their approach has been largely trial and error and inclusive. After all, they never said that DLC dinos would be available in all modes did they. Yet they are. Except this.

Are you saying there are no other DLC exclusive dinosaurs in Return to Jurassic Park, besides the Pteranodon and Compsognathus?

I still don't understand you. Could you please clarify it a bit more?

Basically, until now each piece of DLC content has fully been available in Campaign, Sandbox & Challenge mode. Not just dinosaurs, but also buildings, research, maps etc.
The only exception is claire's Volcanic Silicosis, because it's plot related research.

So, no one here is arguing that the RtJP campaign should have limitations.
But there has definitely been a mistake in how "balance" was handled in Sandboz & Challenge. No plausible justification either.
