Did I need to pay for Horizons beta access?

I decided to stump up for beta access but have learnt that as I have a standard beta account from pre release of the game that I might not of needed to pay for the horizons beta access as I'm automatically granted access to beta just by buying the standard Horizons expansion. Can anyone confirm?

Yes, if you have the standard beta and not premium beta you'll have to pay if you want it.
(I'm going off what Michael said in the other thread)

I understand that I have to pay for the Horizons expansion. But did I need to pay for beta access or would I have gotten it anyway just buying the standard expansion? Can you link to the thread that MB said this in?

That's what I needed to see Robert, thanks. I did need to purchase the horizons beta access if I wanted to play the beta.

Willa. Im sure it will get you the post release expansion too.

You certainly can, you can purchase beta access for it via our store which will also get you access to Elite Dangerous: Horizons upon release.
