Engineers Did long hair go out of fashion...?

A bit of whimsy. Avatars/Pics are immersive ( thank you) but does long hair go out of fashion in the next 1000 years? Also I've seen a few mission givers now in Engineers and they all look like blokes. :D

How long? I saw a guy (pretty sure) with longish hair. Nothing to shoulder or below, though. Also have seen not one overweight person. I guess they found a solution to the obesity crisis. They all seem pretty old too. Not saying that young mission givers would be common. But nobody ever has to deal with a receptionist or a young rebellion leader or something?

Space travel often includes extended time spent in zero G. Female astronauts in the 20th and 21st century quickly learned that long hair in zero G is not convenient. You certainly don't want these locks obscuring your vision during a combat situation:

My first answer was "long hair is a pain in the testes to do in games" but I prefer this answer so much I've decided it's canon. Enjoy your cool point.

My belief is that we have turned evolved towards dwarves and as such everyone should have beards, including the womenfolk.

Beards have been and always will be relevant! Not so sure about the dwarves portion....or the womenfolk having beards however. ;)

Oh! I don't know.
Sir Terry P's wimen dwarffes* had beards and in a strange way are quite attractive. [yesnod]

Personally, I think that there is no long hair because it would use too many resources to render it to the standard of graphics you use.
Long hair is notoriously difficult to render.

* I'm reading Wintersmith atm and my wife has said that my accent has changed to that of the Feegles.

I saw a male mission contact with sort of mid 90s grunge imitation shoulder length hair. Something Nickleback might have sported.

I tend to prefer a pony tail, but sometimes you can't get around the bun :D

And yeah ... buns on men are ... rarely good looking (imo) xD

Ponytails for men, braided in flight and combat, would do the trick.
(My personal experience from a few decades ago. [yesnod])

Dreads, braids, all solutions for long hair.
And with the long lonely flying times between planets thing how greatly you could improve your braiding techniques during these flights. :)

But more I think all the guys and girls look quite sour, like they have been constipated for weeks.
