Did t9 jump range get boosted?

12LY is a fairly typical Jumprange for a loaded Type-9 (non-Engineered). Always has been.

7 LY loaded would sound like a D-Grade FSD or something (?)

When you say minor tweaks, if one was to change a large system into a type "D," that can have a very big effect. The "D" type modules are the ones where their benefit is mainly a reduction in mass.
Edit: not the frame drive, obviously. The stronger the better on those, if your goal is jump range.

Lol thanks for the info it must just be my memory then. As for the handling ... I rather like how my cow flies it's a good intro ship for FA off as well (I agree with FA on its horrible to fly)

Don't get me wrong, I love it, when you get to the A8 shield its a joy to fly around in.

So T-9 experts.

I'm thinking ok blowing my Narcotics windfall on a T-9 for the Tobacco cash giveaway.
For PvE purposes will I get away with this build?

So long as you don't get any clever ideas about hanging around after interdiction you're probably golden. Personally I run 2 chaff and 2 point defence and no weapons, but my internal load out is very similar and it's served me pretty well, other than at Gooheimar when I got a bit too aggressive stacking delivery missions and had mission-generated pirates cost me 20+ million credits.
