Did the ED graphics engine change from Horizons to Odyssey?

So I've been out of the loop a while in the ED dev space, playing Horizons quite contentedly. Odyssey kept crashing on my system in the tutorial and even the main menu. Since I wasn't itching to walk around, it wasn't that big a concern. Now that I want to tool around in the new SRV, I decided to get the new game going. Once I figured out the crashes (Turning video sync off for borderless games did the trick), I noticed how degraded the graphics of the game became. I see 'jaggies' everywhere. I've tinkered with the video settings of Odyssey but nothing seems to improve. Reverting back to Horizons, the visuals are as clean as ever.

Without starting flame wars and serial recriminations, did the core graphics engine of ED change? And acknowledging performance issues that many people have remarked on, yet leaving them aside for the moment, are there suggestions for improving the visuals to get Odyssey at least back to the level of Horizons?

yes they did change the graphics pipeline in the engine significantly in odyssey.

your jaggedness is likely due to the change in supersampling default that is active in Odyssey being applied to an already low resolution (1080p is considered low in this context). Go to your graphics settings and inside the graphics submenu if you scroll down you should find the supersample setting that is currently showing "AMD " something. change this to Normal / off.

save and you should ...see an image that looks about as clean as horizons in terms of aliasing. However you will then have to contend with all of the performance woes compared to horizons.
