I remember checking the site in the past seeing coming features. It listed things like atmospheric landings, land and even water vehicles, first person combat, the ability to walk around stations and your own ships, the ability to board enemy ships.. None of this in on the site anymore, unless I just can't find it. Anyone else remember all this?

It almost never had listed such things on site. Site has always been about current game plus upcoming next update when advertised.
No idea, but most of those features are still a long way off, if that's what you're asking. We've had land vehicles for quite a while now though, and all the combat is first person if you think about it.
Perhaps you have in mind the art book (electronic) that was distributed to early backers ?
You must have been hallucinating, or else looking at an unofficial fan page/wishlist.
Or you got it mixed-up with Star Citizen, which frequently promises it's going to do X or Y at some unspecified point in the distant future.
The only page with ANY official 'speculation' about possible future expansions is the original Kickstarter:

They did (and probably still do) hope to have landable atmospheric planets, walking around your ship & possibly even space stations. The other stuff you mentioned sounds like some other game entirely.
