Did you guys increase the health of Raijin, or … ?

Titan Raijin is taking surprisingly long to go down.

CMDR activity (as tracked by Inara) in the system however is high (so the anywhere between 4-7k CMDRs logged on site - and this is Inara alone.)

Did you guys (FDEV) increase the health of Titan Raijin behind the scenes?

Or have we gotten collectively sloppy at Titan assaults?

@Phil Weeks, @Zac Cocken & team

I have wondered about this, 5th heart is incredibly slow to finish - down from 70% early this morning to only 90% now.
4 hearts were quick on Thurs-Sat, but Sunday almost came completely to a standtill.

Maybe players got the 2M for the next 7days and just stopped.
(Unless the Titans Hearts have been slightly 'tweaked' to correspond to delay of Ascendancy )

I would like to see the same chart as the CG Progress chart on Inara applied to the Titan hearts here!

Do we suspect this is all planned, and Raijin not falling as perhaps it should (based on the previously established rules / ability to deal damage) is going to lead to another event? I really liked the whole Shinrarta Invasion thing as it really got me back in to the game again.

I think it might in some way be related to the ongoing thing with Seo Jin-ae (which Azimuth tossed out one of their usual tone deaf statements for, today), and they did not necessarily want the Titan to already be dead on Monday to avoid conflicts with GalNet publishing. Because the two things seem to be tied together in some way.

If it’s not down by Wednesday, somehow I feel like it might lead to a few people that, if they weren’t able to partake in the assault after last week’s Wednesday for one reason or another, might miss out on the rewards (not that it would be the end of the world or anything, but the time sensitive rule works against them a little here, if my guess is correct).

Wouldn’t be the first. Taranis also survived a tick - threw a bunch of alerts, other than that not much happened.
Taranis had slightly different rules, which is why it has 4 systems. Who knows, we play by rules that we don’t fully know and FD changes them during the game.

I don't tend to follow any of that stuff. I'm even largely blind to any news article in-game too lol. I got my runs on the Raijin done on Thursday as I knew I'd likely not get any time over the weekend. I half expected it to be down today, but that's not the case. I just hope I get the time to do another run this week, in case Raijin doesn't go down as expected.

A surprise or two for the last two Titans sound interesting. I am thinking people are a bit tired of the war and making Titan bombing runs. There is also the Elite Partner streams with pp2.0 and the Mandalay to distract everyone

It seems to be a story-related reason for this Titan to be unusually tough compared to the others, but I figured not everybody follows the story/lore as closely so I put in those reference links. I could still be wrong, of course, but they do seem to be tied together (and like there is setup for Cocijo to start becoming a bit more... how to put it... unruly).

They'd almost certainly have to relax on its current hitpoint pool(if it is still tied to credits earned from core damage, which appears likely) to have it go down by Wednesday, though. At least with the pace thus far*. OR do away with the whole "Titan damage for rewards needs to be done a week prior to meltdown" for this one if they actually want it to survive the week.

*I am not entirely convinced that it is just down to people getting their 2 million on the Thursday of going vulnerable and then checking out.

I admit, I'm very much a "get my 2 mil in and I'm done" player. This was largely due to the exceedingly poor experience I was having. However, once I found out that 1) Solo worked far better and 2) The game had reset my Port Forwarding settings, things got much better. I was still a bit hit and run this time, but that's due to lack of game time and wanting to spend that time teamed up with a buddy doing other AX content.

There was a time when I'd love to emerse myself in the Lore of a game (not just ED) and eagerly consume any and all available content. However, with limited time I cannot really obsess quite so much these days as I once loved to do lol.

I did two mil last Tuesday and shifted to Cocijo. Though judging by the lack of progress here that wasn't the the majority route.
Looks like I'm doing a long range run tonight.
Looking at the damage graph the toughness went up Friday night. There was speculation that it was so the detonation wouldn't coincide with the update, though if that was the case you'd expect it to plough forwards now so it doesn't interfere with next week.

Of course we are tired, this is the seventh and the same thing.
Thing is that this is purely personal opinion/approach. Myself fully ignored 1st titan, then slowly started trying and on this one I actually did no less as 2x more damage as to any of previous titans (using slightly altered Mechan's build ... works great for me :) ). My latest bombing runs were slightly above 9M CBs with almost no hul damage at all.

... I could be ofc mistaken, but it looks to me like timing of Galnet article release about Seo Jin-ae is no coincidence here.

Even at the current historically slow pace of a heart in slightly over 24 hours, it should be done by early on Friday anyway even allowing for a bit of midweek slowdown, for detonation early on Saturday ... and they may now have an incentive to make sure it lasts into next week just to keep people busy in advance of the Powerplay rollout.

Thing is ...

Player numbers have gone up over the weekend ...

... as Inara data also confirms the bulk of the activity focused on Raijin ...

... and, alas, war progress massively SLOWED after Friday night ...

I really don't know what gives here ...
