Died of Asphyxiation inside a StarPort?

So I had a hull breach, and managed to actually dock with one second to spare, but died as I was entering the repairs menu.

Aren't Starports supposed to be pressurised once you're through the blue barriers?

How much time to I actually need left to make it to the repairs menu?

Timer is bugged, 2 minutes is when people used to be able to jump to stations where is now you gotta cruise to them and by that time you normally die :(

It's a known issue. It will probably be addressed in future builds.

Repairs are instant. You'd need to have clicked on repair modules in time.

I'll agree though, I've had a few close calls and thought the same thing about there being air in the airlock. Still, its quite exciting landing under pressure.

yeah I see the timer resets when switching between supercruise and normal, so had to abuse that to make it inside a starport.. it's just i actually made it in, and docked, then died at the starport menu. lol

had 30 seconds left, then realised the docking station wanted me to 180... got bounced about a bit as the timer ticked down... was definitely tense! loved it! and shouted "YES!" when the docking clamps engaged, only to have EJECT EJECT EJECT shortly follow :(

Well done for getting docked in time. Did you have to request docking clearance as per usual? Surely with a bust cockpit there should be an option to yell for help from the station and have an emergency team standing by.

Cheers

Yes, I frantically asked for clearance while almost overheating my engines coming in at an angle at full speed

it'd be cool if there was... even if the starport wasn't pressurised you'd have hoped a med team would be on hand for such problems.

EDIT - I'm also curious as to why the ejector seats trigger and the ship explodes when it's my personal air supply that's run out. I guess that's a feature that is in the works.

What's worse is sitting on the landing pad, already docked, then hearing "eject eject eject" and the ship explodes ... on the pad.

That's like insult to injury, considering you could just climb out of the gaping hole!

It takes at least 30 seconds for the UI to load, so if you're in a sidewinder you'll have to hope that you exit supercruise more or less in front of the station because I have not yet managed to dock within 1min 30 secs.

Still, its quite exciting landing under pressure.

Pun intended, right? :p

Yeah I was dismayed to die to a canopy breach when I was inside the air seal. Minor thing but it will be nice one day to have that chance to get inside and survive :)

That's pretty much what happened to me. got docked, had the menu in the middle, hit to enter services, and EJECT boom.

HAHA! didn't spot that pun
