So i finally broke down and bought horizons despite all the negative things i had heard and read about engineers.
I have had 4 interdictions since starting to play horizons, this is in about 2 hours, no cargo, but some engineers materials.
The first interdiction was an FDL expert whose shields would not go down and who kept throwing chaff and who i could not out turn at all in my python. I escaped with 32% hull remaining.
The second was an FDL expert turning like i dont remember them turning in the past, i killed it and escaped with about 60% hull.
The third was an imperial clipper expert who just laid down and died. Couldnt turn, couldnt shoot, must have had fixed weapons.
The forth was an FDL expert turning like i have rarely seen, killed it with about 82% hull remaining.
The FDL's put up more of a fight than i have seen any ai do in a while, used lots of chaff and had really tough sheilds. The first FDL that i barely escaped from, i found when i got to the station and looked at my modules, was targeting my chaff launcher and point defence.
3 out of my first 4 interdictions in horizons being this mean and smart seems beyond coincidence.
Is the AI scaled up in horizons?
EDIT: Just to be clear im not complaining. Just looking for information and opinions. The four together paid almost 300k bounty so it was profitable work
EDIT: Just remembered on the first one i did have a cargo hold full of personal weapons, the others empty.
