Differences between ships speed / Beta 2 feature list :D

Rather quick questions,
Does Elite have different top speeds for ships?
Or do ships share the same top speed and have different accelerations?

Additionally, do we have an "official" list of Beta 2 features listed somewhere? (Should I make an official list thread?) Its hard to keep track at times.

Each ship has its own maximum speed. Viper is the fastest with a max boosting speed of 500. Not sure about acceleration.

And no list for beta 2 features.

Different top speed and acceleration. Additionally they have different response curves to how many pips of power you allocate to the engines. It also effects agility.

Sounds pretty good so far. I kinda wish they equalized the top speeds at something higher though. Might allow for some interesting orbital mechanics at some point.

I heard something about prograde/retrograde markers.
