Different jobs?

Yes, bring it on, because I really want to carve out a long and storied career as the guy who cleans the gunk out of the chicken soup machines at Chango Dock.

(Jesus wept.)

There will be co-pilots both NPCs and other players.

This is why the bigger ships have been designed with more seats to begin with. Players having this ability won't be in the first release though, but I guess there is a chance that we will see NPCs filling out this role to begin with in some simple ways.

You can read the crew proposal over here:

You also probably want to see this interview with David himself, especially at the 9:30 mark. ;)

what do you guys know about future jobs? because assassin, trader, pirate, bounty hunter, and explorer is good and all but i was hoping for more.
like cops, engineers selling their skills and fixing ships. and even jobs that are going to be on planets and cities like a hunter who sells meat and fur, or a miner who goes on planets and well...mines...
i mean the possibilities are endless....so how far are they going with this?

how about a get a real job :p just kidding buddy :)

I also thought about this and wondered if it were possible in the future of the game to own your own station and be the docking computer guy, like accepting peoples docking requests etc and actually being in the space traffic control centers. that would be dope!

There will be luxury passenger transports in the game. If they are available to players, there is the option of running one and perhaps becoming a holiday tour operator!

any possibility of being a call center agent in a station for like dealing with insurances and stuff? maybe sell warranties to CMDR's for their cargo once you talk to them about their ship insurance etc?

i think we all need real jobs to get this game lol. (i guess kids could too) but then again idk how many would spend $150 (id spend more) on expansion packs.

you know i really think that could be seamless....like just walk to the dock and they be like "well pay you $$$$ amount of credits to be here for 25 min" or something...
