different perceptions: PC vs PS4

I'm a backer of Elite Dangerous by the first moment I heard it could be released and I played it extensively on PC (before Horizon, that killed my pc performance) and anyway I want to post my perceptions after the first night of playing with it on PS4.
First point first: the game is superb on this console, no hiccups, no framerate drops (or at least I didn't notice or care, since on my PC was very laggy), the graphics are awesome.
The controls are a steep learning for me, on the PC I felt like Jan Solo and my skills granted me some awesome docking manouvers (keyboard + mouse), on the PS4 I feel totally an IDIOT and more than often I put some huge scratches on my hull (one time I found myself upside down during a docking on a station, LOL).
What I find ally different is the way of making money. I mean on the PC, to purchase an Hauler, I had to put myself on a good bunch of hours of grinding. On the PS4 I did a bunch of missions and I managed to get almost immediately a Viper Mark II.
This leaves me with a question: if it's so simple to get money, will I find myself without nothing to do in a bunch of months? On the PC I was never been able to reach a Viper, because missions where so underpaid that felt me better to do trade runs.
Basicly, I think that trade runs now are almost useless.
What you think?

I think it could be that FD have adjusted missions and pay since way back. So making money might be a bit faster now but I am not sure. Just seems to be from what I gather when reading here on the forums.

But I ran out of steam over a year ago. There's no story like other games. No missions like other games etc. So I burnt out.

Thew grind is not that bad nowadays on PC as well. You easily can sum up the money for a Viper in an few hours of play. But yes, I also had the feeling that it is even easier on the PS4 right now. My guess is they want to bring up a diverse Univers quickly and will raise the effords necessary for the higher ranks. With a good balancing you can make people happy by giving them a good start ( getting to a somewhat better ship quickly like Viper or Cobra ) and then have them grind for an Anaconda...

Based on your reply, I think that this is not a good idea... I mean I had a great bond with my fully equipped SideWinder before trading it in for an Hauler... I mean also the Hauler... I used it so much... I loved it. Actually I got a Viper without any real effort. That was kinda... Strange. Not boring... Because I love to do what I do in Elite... But I dunno. Simple.

I'm making money at a surprising rate, but I'm purposefully not going after all the coveted ships just yet. I'm just having fun in my little cheap-to-rebuy Adder, soaking in the experience. My advantage is that I've never played before, so I can spend hours being amazed by what veterans probably find boring by now.

I don't yet know if I'll get the years of gameplay some do from this game, but I'm certain beyond doubt I'm getting my money's worth. If I get bored, I've got other games to play (and dishes to wash, LOL).
