Different trains for inverted (boa)

I haven't really played around with the others, but for the boa, are there different trains? How do we go about changing the trains we used? Someone on a youtube video of my Raptor recreation stated that I needed to change the trains. I didn't think you could, but he swears he's seen another video with the B&M trains.

Am I missing something?

I think the two-seater is supposed to be the B&M family inverted coaster while the other one is the normal 4 seat inverted. I wish it was still possible to change trains on a coaster, I had to restart my inverted coaster like 3 times because of the cars.

Was it in Alpha 2?

Back in Alpha 1 we had 2 tracks and both tracks had 4 car types that you could choose.

As of Alpha 3 we have more track types, but all of them have just 1 car type. Its like 99,99% sure we will be able to choose from multiple car tracks on some tracks but thats not the case in Alpha 2. So to say in short, in Alpha 2 you can not choose a car so the guy must have been talking about Alpha 1 where it was possible.

EDIT :

What i said sounds like they removed the option, like thats a bad thing. Obviously they implemented more tracktypes so each train runs on their own fitting tracktype. So it's not like they took something out, its more like they ADDED the proper tracks for each car [happy]

I just looked at the coaster types and saw the B&M

Let me just say, it's SUPER annoying. I hate that I can't just change the manufacturer on the fly. Devs take note, because I didn't see the B&M Invert, and it for some strange/odd reason I had to scan the coaster types 2-3 times before I actually noticed it. And although I do know a bit about coaster types, I:

A. Assumed that the boa could be switched to the 4-seater B&M style (in the same manner you could switch trains in alpha 1)
B. Think that a lot of casual players might find this annoying. While I don't think a casual player will care who makes what coaster, I think they will care how many seats the coaster holds.
C. Don't understand why both inverts aren't next to each other. I think the organization of the coasters in the menu needs to be fixed.

Again I never noticed this in my time playing until someone else mentioned it to me. I'd post this in alpha feedback as well, but don't want to double post..

Perhaps its to do with the management aspects of the game once its finished? Maybe we'll have to purchase contracts with different manufacturers or something

But if we don't tell them we want it, how will they know?

+1 to this. These forums are for us to discuss/suggest/comment on what we have now. Clearly a few more things need to be implemented so lets address them and put forward our thoughts [happy]

In regards and coming from someone who doesn't know a lot about coasters here are my thoughts;

I want to be able to have multiple car designs for a single coaster track because i would like to change visually at times what the coaster looks like even if I have already used that track before.

The coasters need much greater detail about them. We discussed in an older thread about the need for information such as

coaster type
car type(s)
manufacture
top speed
maximum height
Track Features (inverted drops, loops, corkscrews)

If we had the above in some sort of information panel once you select the coaster or even hover over it then it would allow a casual player can say "yep that is the one for me"

Just my quick view on it.
