Higher power output when using a different type of ship reactor!
More fragile, more unstable, high fuel consumption, can only be refueled at a station with expensive fuel.
Completely unsuitable for explorers and traders, but crucial for any high performance fighter.

Low power output, but highly economical.
Would dramatically extend jump range, but would be useless for running very power-heavy setups. You'd be best off ditching guns entirely if you want it to be of any use. It would also heavily limit top speed, acceleration and maneuverability. It could also cause slower charge of FSD and longer cooldowns, but that might be too heavy a nerf for this to be viable for traders - unless the extension of jump range was really great. Also, could be harder to interdict (and also the bigger the ship's mass, the harder the interdiction... For a laden heavy carrier it should be completely impossible to be interdicted by a measly eagle)
