Difficulty Getting to Friends

Me and my friend bought this game expecting to be able to play together and roam the universe side by side. But of course that is an issue because of spawning 1000+ light years away from each other.

Does anyone know of a possible easy way to get to each other? The selecting a route system only works for a few light years in the default ships that I know of.
If there is no way to do this I would like to see some sort of buddy spawning system to make playing with friends more easy.

Listen this may sound harsh as I had a similar experience buying this game for my brother... but if you even reach your friend there is nothing you can do with each other. So friend him open coms and have a good conversation.

I fly with my brother and 3 friends and we love jumping Anacondas together inside USS's and playing wingmen for one another at Nav beacons being pirates. So of course you can play together once you reach the same system together. So ignore rdizz.

As for your question about spawning soo far away from each other, i'm not really sure what you can do. I guess someone will be along soon that know's more then me however. So sit tight, stay patient and i'm sure everytihng will work out.

There is no other way. You fly there and that's it.

Listen I know I sound like a jerk. But that is the brutal truth.

If you hunt pirates together only one of you will get credit you will lose your partner when he enters a uss. You cannot trade credits with him. You cannot form a group you cannot complete missions with him.

Yes technically you can "play together" but in reality it's just being in the same zone as them if you are in the same instance UNLESS you are in a priprivate group.

Well, the "wings" are supposed to be the next Elite feature, so playing together will be better. I play with friends and were having a blast.

One thing you can do is restarting the game (clear save in the options) and pray to spawn closer.
