Digital Espionage (Upload) question

Dear CMDRs,

I've not (yet) managed to find many videos or how-tos for this.

Does the digital espionage DOWNLOAD* mission require that you disable settlement alarms to upload the data, i.e. will the alarms go off if I upload without disabling the alarms?

Any other advice for this type of mission?

* My mistake, thread title wrong, corrected this post - it's for a download mission...

Sorry, no idea, I always turn the alarms off, rob everything, kill everyone, shut down the power and steal the regulator.

Doesn't matter what the mission is, don't send me on a mission to somewhere you care about.

Well... Unless it's a restore power, but I'm still robbing the place.

You don't seem to need to disable the alarms to do those missions - I usually see a visual alarm but the workers ignore it and I just wait for the download. I guess if a guard sees it they might be less happy.

You know it is possible to play the game and see what happens...

Answer to my question:

No, you don't need to disable settlement alarms to download data.

Unless when you get caught (I didn't) you don't want the base going ape at you.

Simples ;)
