Dimming the controls by your legs?

Hi

I love playing this in VR but one thing really gets on my nerves... the rather bright lights for the controls by your legs:

I can dim the dashboard, I can turn on this "Night Mode" which I only noticed recently in the SteamVR settings.

But I often find myself leaning back in my chair to reset my view so that when i sit upright I am sitting above of or in front of these panels.
Of course then all the side panels are slightly behind me and certain messages like SHIP SCAN DETECTED appear extremely close to my face scaring the crap out of me!

Is there a way of turning these lights off? Could dimming the dashboard also dim these lights?

I have put in normal forum and suggestions area a few times, a request for a on/off or dimmer switch to allow you to turn off or lower the light level.

May be they come back on you land on pad or planet...... like you car internal light comes on when you open door.. and goes off when you start your engine.

Instruments don't need light, they illuminate

Even with vr, you are lit up like a Christmas tree when in stealth mode for example.

Fingers cross we get a switch on a future update.... hehe

Oops, completely forgot about this post :)

I did have a hunt for a similar thread but i guess I failed. I will head over to yours!

Could it help to contact support directly? I find it very hard to believe that this does not irritate more people playing this in VR!

I noticed the Cobra MKIV has a different color scheme, might be easier on the eyes also means they could offer variant colors.
