Dino Sedation

I'm just curious why the Rangers can't have the sedation option as the ACU does. And ACU have the same heal and cure options that the Rangers have?

I just would assume the helicopters and rangers would have the same options and the ACU would be used for harder to reach areas or in dense forest areas, while the rangers would be more for the pathways and plains.

Since completing all the islands, I kind of would like to have the fun option of driving around trying to sedate escaped dino's via the rangers for a change...

I don't think ACU can heal at all, they just sedate dinosaurs.
I like the idea though, they should have something in common, they both have shooters after all. Acu should be quicker than ranger station in sedating/healing ... , and rangers would provide other services as refilling/repairing...

Yeah I know this question has been asked alot and I can never remember any other answer other than "only ACU can" which is dumb. You should be able to switch between tranqs with both vehicles. The advantage of using the copter over the jeeps is that you can make beelines to where you need to go with clear shots where as ranger jeeps have to go through gates and around obstacles.

Now that I think of it the only real reason I can think of as to why the devs refuse to change it is that you need the ACU building to call transport copters to move tranqed/dead dinos. They should just give them their own separate building like a radio tower since the actual T copters are not kept on site anyways. Would allow people to decide whether or not they want to have an ACU copter and give us another building to use.

I really hope the devs read all this and seriously consider this change.

Though there is no proof of it, I like to imagine that they represent two divisions. The ACU is the security division (that does have their logo) that focuses on guest safety, while the ranger station is the science division that focuses on dinosaur health.

Also, when it comes to a faster reaction to sedate dinosaurs, it is a lot easier to sedate on the air than on the ground. A stampede of dinosaurs could easily block your tranquilization if you are on the ground, and all of the gates you have to go through will be agonizing to reach a T-rex that is chowing down on guests and other dinosaurs. Plus, the tranq helicopter it is connected to the transport helicopters that could only transport dinosaurs if they are sedated.

Whereas the ranger team could get up close to a specific dinosaur that is not in rush of escaping the exhibit. They already take care of the food supplies and maintenance, so taking care of dinosaurs with medication from the car makes sense. At least that is how I see things :p

Well allowing rangers/ACU the option to use either tranq allows players the option to better use their resouces. It might make sense to fly out in the copter when the huge rex goes on a rampage but it might be easier to drive out and be able to shoot from the ground when someone lets the small dracorex's out. Not only that for islands like pena being able to consolidate a building would be a huge help where as tacano the map is long and huge its faster to use the copter to cut across the lake when you want to take care of a disease outbreak.

This would give a lot of needed depth as to how you can approach managing your park. There wouldnt be ONE superior way that would make the other option obsolete since both options have pros and cons. As of now it is really unnecessary and feels forced having to make room for ACU just so you can tranq or remove dinos. Then there is the fact that bot buildings are really limited in what they can do.

I agree 100%
They really need to rework the ACU and Rangers to balance out the game more and add an extra bit of uniqueness to one's park
