Dinosaurs Dinosaur Pack - Hybrids

Now I know that that there are people who don’t like dinosaur hybrids and to be honest I didn’t like them as well but when I played ‘Secrets Of Doctor Wu’ I was surprised. The hybrids in the game (in my opinion) are the only dinosaurs that are unique and stand out the most.
These hybrids that I want to be in the game are based on the dinosaurs that are currently in the game.

•Paramoloch
Parasaurolophus + Stygimoloch

•Tyrannolophosaur
Tyrannosaurus rex + Dilophosaurus

•Giganocephalus
Giganotosaurus + Euoplocephalus

I like the Giganocephalus, Carnoraptor, Monostegotops, Pachyceratops from JW: The Game. I think JWE went a little overboard in making the hybrids as the only one that seems natural/reasonable is the Spinoraptor. I think the Stegoceratops and Ankylodocus could of had a more natural design that would have been more streamline than what we received. Not saying I don't appreciate them in the game. I wanted them, just an artistic critique is all. :) I would enjoy more hybrids coming in, but probably won't happen unless in JWE2.

In before LordTrilobite's inevitable "ugh, please no more hybrids" post...

Can't say I'm a fan of Tyrannolophosaurus... it's basically a T-rex with Dilo crests and fake neck frills... it's a lot like the Allosinosaurus; just an Allosaurus with a frill... what's the point of making hybrids when they're so basic?

Giganocephalus would be pretty cool... also, Carnoraptor! Because an armor-plated raptor is awesome! I also think Ankyntrosaurus (Ankylosaurus + Kentrosaurus) and Trykosaurus (Ankyntrosaurus + Tyrannosaurus) would make great additions... also, Stegodeus, which uses Stegosaurus and another hybrid Nodopatosaurus (Nodosaurus + Apatosaurus) to make in JWA, but in JWE the could probably drop Nodopatosaurus and substitute with Ankylodocus.

But isn't that the whole point of hybrids to begin with? Taking creative liberties to make something that looks totally unnatural and over-the-top? I mean, what's the point of making hybrids anyways if they're just going to look like the usual Jurassic Park "real" dinosaurs?

...to be fair, I don't care for the look of the Ankylodocus either... not because it looks unrealistic though, but because it just looks ridiculously badly designed...

I was meaning as in functioning within the standards of a design. Even being over the top, the creature should look to have a reason, purpose and function. It doesn't have to look like the usual JP "real" Dinos but it should fit in some fashion. Usually pretty standard stuff in creature design. It could look appeasing to the eye while having an overall function as everything is to be taken into account so that you can see this animal actually being a live. If it doesn't hit the mark, then it doesn't usually stand within the stretch of the imagination. For example, one would be able to see the Spinoraptor that they created looks like it could actually exist, it is pleasing to watch, it has reason and purpose within its structure. It is pretty clear that it belongs. Which I say was lacking when making the Stegoceratops and Ankylodocus. That's all that I am addressing. I think it can be better and that's my personal opinion as an artist and a fan that really wanted these hybrids to enter into the game.

I would like to see more hybrids. I do think the Paramoloch and Giganocephalus look pretty cool. However, two things:

1. Don't give us another Ankylodocus-tier hybrid. I love the Spinoraptor and Stegoceratops and think they're great dinosaurs but I heavily dislike the Ankylodocus. These are hybrids, so take some creative freedom and make them look good!

Now THIS Ankylodocus looks awesome and I wish the current on in game looked more like this one (I'm sorry, mini-rant over)

2. Even though I want more hybrids, I also feel as if Frontier should put hybrids on the back-burner for a while in favor of more important matters, considering the fact that we just received hybrids earlier this year.

Oh my... that does look pretty nice... although I feel the legs are all wrong... definitely need to go with sauropod limbs for such a large and heavy animal... I get the feeling this artist was going for long-necked Ankylosaurus as oppose to armored Diplodocus...

Since all dinosaurs are not genetically pure in jurassic world, we can have imagination for making more powerful, threatening dinosaurs. But to be honest, tyrannolophosaurus went so far...it is too much...

Yup. Ugh.

Although, at least if any new hybrids are added in their own separate hybrid pack at least they are optional for players. What I didn't like about the Dr. Wu DLC was that dinosaurs like Olorotitan and Troodon were kinda held hostage by a predominantly hybrid focused DLC. But if a pack just included hybrids I would personally just not buy it. The only real argument against it would be that it would take away development resources from "real" dinosaur pack DLCs. And while I still would love to see more real dinosaurs in the game, we already have a very good roster as it is.

We need more carnivore hybrids since all of of the current ones use raptor dna.
Whilst it would be great to have more unique carnivore hybrids, I believe we need more herbivore hybrids because at the moment there are only two (or at worst one, considering how Ankylodocus doesn’t do anything unique to stand out amongst the other sauropods in the game).

As well as a couple of improvements made to the hybrids that are currently in JWE, such as Ankylodocus fight animations against the Indominus rex and making Indoraptor able to camouflage.

I wouldn't mind a new hybrid every now and then. They're the natural evolution of the underlying theme of the Jurassic franchise, after all. As long as they're not too outlandish, as well. I really like the Paramolich upthread, and have some ideas of my own:

Allomimus: Allosaurus/Suchomimus hybrid. The head can be Allosaurid at the back with the eye crests and become Sucho toward the front with the snout, giving a gharial-style look to it. The body can be mainly Sucho but a little leaner and compact, with the Allosaurus' arms and the large second claw of Sucho. Diet-wise it would eat from either fish or meat feeders equally, and it could tolerate another of its kind like the spinosaurids.

Polaracosaurus or Styracocanthus: Polacanthus/Styracosaurus hybrid. Styracosaurus head and frill and mostly body with some of the facial/skull armor from the Polacanthus and its body flattened a little with the body armor of Pola, with the legs of Styrac and the tail of Pola.

Gallintspinoosaurus: Gallimimus/Gigantspinosaurus hybrid. Mostly Gallimimus with the shoulder spines, back spines, and tail spines of Gigantspinosaurus, with a few other features like a bit chubbier body and Gigant-style head.

It didn't have that ability.

Logically it makes sense and fits in canonically within the Jurassic World franchise to have an Indoraptor that can camouflage. The I. rex's DNA, which is compatible with Cuttlefish genes, formed the architecture of the Indoraptor. Surely within that architecture, there must be a gap to insert cuttlefish genes to the Indoraptor's genetic makeup like its ancestor?

Considering how it was designed to be a bio-weapon and not a park attraction and Fallen Kingdom has confirmed that the inclusion for cuttlefish genes to the genetic makeup was to give it the ability to camouflage , an Indoraptor with the ability to camouflage is the realisation of what Vic Hoskins ultimately planned for in his speech regarding the Indominus rex’s creation:

“Imagine. That one, a fraction of the size; deadly, intelligent, able to hide from the most advanced military technology. A living weapon unlike anything we've ever seen. You see? Millions of years of evolution, what did we learn? Nature is the gift that just keeps on giving.”

I kind of like our current hybrids. Ankylodocus should be redesigned because right now it seems too much like a sauropod and not much like an Ankylosaurus. I do have a few requests for future hybrids:
1. No carnvivor/herbivore hybrids, PLEASE! I know some of you want them but think about it. First, what do they eat? Do they eat plants or meat? I know reality isn't really part of the equation but still, they probably would starve in real life. Also they just look sort of weird in my opinion.
2. No sloppily designed hybrids. You can rush on a non-hybrid but please don't just rush through them. They need to be seamless or else nobody will want them.
3.
Since all dinosaurs are not genetically pure in jurassic world, we can have imagination for making more powerful, threatening dinosaurs. But to be honest, tyrannolophosaurus went so far...it is too much...
Basically the above.
4. I don't want this to become like JWTG where everything is part of a hybrid. They need to be a little special.
My hybrids are:
Carnoraptor (the one pictured isn't stellar but Frontier can make a better one)

Spinocanthosaurus (who doesn't want a new piscavore?)

Paramiloch (cute little guy)

That concludes my requesting.

Personally I think that any future hybrids should stay away from the dinosaurs already used in the hybrids we have, or else we're just going to have a bunch of part-raptor/Spino/Rex things running around (the non-Rex/raptor dinosaurs that make up Indominus rex being exceptions since Indominus doesn't greatly resemble any of them). Hybrids along the line of Paramolich, more examples being Giganolophosaurus (Giganotosaurus/Dilophosaurus), Kentrapatosaurus (Kentrosaurus/Apatosaurus), and Sinodosaurus (Sinoceratops/Nodosaurus).

First of all, I think they could fix Indoraptor 27's problem of do they eat plants or meat by introducing Omnivores, where you could feed them plants or meat. Anyway, my Hybrid would be something that could fight back. When the Ankylodocus was released everybody thought it would be able to fight the Indominus Rex. Maybe even an animation where it was going to do it's Sauropod killing animation but then got hit in the face with the club, and then the fight starts. Now this might be a little strange and it doesn't really fit but, I present the Brachicephalosaurus. A mixture of the Brachiosaurus and the Pachycephalosaurus. Due to the Pachycephalosaurus DNA it would make the creature smaller then most sauropods and there for able to bend it's neck down, bring it back up and hit the Indominus Rex.

Brachicephalosaurus sound great. Long neck + hard head = living battering ram.
