Dinosaur visibility

Is it just me who thinks that the current method for dinosaur visibility is really stupid?
You have a huge Brachiosaurus right next to a low security fence and it can't be seen from the path right next to it but a Compy in a forest is perfectly visible from a platform as long as it's in the cone.

A better solution would be for each Dinosaur to have a basic visibility ring based on size that shows exactly where it can be seen from.
It could also be affected by fences rocks and trees accordingly. That way Sauropods would be easily visible without gallery's while small dinosaurs would be difficult to see without them.

The tour affects visibility in the same way as Gyrospheres and gallery's do. It creates a kind of visibility bubble around itself and without that a fence prevents a dinosaur from being seen completely.
When you use the park management tools you can see exactly what is it isn't visible and aside from being extremely limited range on all attractions (especially where obviously visible Sauropods are concerned) fences block sight completely without an attraction.
More stupid is that attractions can literally see tiny Dinosaurs right through concrete as long as they stand in the bubble.

I'm pretty sure the fences don't effect visibility, otherwise JP style park tours wouldn't work.

I think the OP doesn't refer to that, but that visitors walking along any path that goes side-by-side with a certain paddock's fence can't (game-wise) literally see anything, even if it's a huge Dreadnoughtus right at the other side.

There are many, many tweaks needed in the visibility system, but I personally don't mind them at all. If you're trying to 5-star any given island, it is better not to build any viewing attraction at all, because you can get 5-stars even with 0 visibility and those buildings will just require you to build more stupid restaurants and so anyway.

And if we are speaking of Sandbox... well, nevermind.

that's not because of the fence, that's just because paths don't have visibility. It would be nice if they did, but I think that is intentional, because otherwise viewing galleries would be pointless.

On that note, the Hotel in RtJP doesn't have visibility, even though the vanilla one does, which is also annoying.

I disagree with galleries being pointless. They would just provide wider, clearer and much more visibility than paths, that's all. Anyway, fences should have an impact on how much visibility paths provide, as currently it doesn't matter, but certainly concrete shouldn't allow it ever...

Agreed about concrete for the most part but in the case of the biggest Sauropods they're visible above the fence so my method of having the dinosaurs have their own visibility bubble instead of the gallery having one would make them visible over the concrete provided they were close enough to it

but then compys would never be visible.

Just having visibility tied to the dinosaur as opposed to the attractions wouldn't prevent small Dinosaurs from being seen I'm not proposing removal of gallery's.
As long as there wasn't too much forest Compys would still be visible from a nearby gallery. Obviously at a vastly decreased distance than a Rex for example but that can be compensated for by placing food and water near the gallery. The bigger the Dinosaur the further away they could be seen with true giants like Drednoughtus being visible even from a very long distance and even through multiple enclosures provided the view remained unobstructed.
