I believe this would be a great addition to the game, it would be a great upgrade. But I think it would take a little bit to get the update because besides the puppies, you have to have models of young dinosaurs for adults. Even though it would be wonderful to have nests, male dinosaurs and babies

My suggestion for the mechanics of breeding would be as follows
- It would be embarrassing to have mating animations, instead it would be better to have the couple enter the forest, then the couple leave and the female will lay eggs
-It would be good for the puppies always to be close to their parents and the couple should defend the puppy if any predator approaches

Yeah, those are great ideias, specially the puppies protection against predators.

I make me some Thoughts How Parenting and Baby behaviors could act in the Game.
At First: Parenting is not a difficult mechanism, what can be occoured, when 2 Dinosaurs are mating and get babys, simple that way so far.
But! How we get Males? I think Males are the Best way, when they appear after a Gen modification, like we get already dinosaurs, who are modified for the enclosure size, socialneeds and anything else.
So far as Good! Iimagine that this modification can occour by some Dinosaurs like T-rex only in combination with the Social genetics at all because T-rex are at the Base not very social at all.
When the Dinosaurs have this, then they can have a Partner and mating together. Thats the beginning where mating come with socialneeds in the Game.
at Second: After mating the dinosaurs behaving at least normaly with drink and eat and hunt like allways. the Female is now pregnant and that you must see in a kind of screen how far is the pregnancy.
Now when the Female is going to lay eggs, there is a special need of tight woods and trees or a Cave or even a thing that can the Dino to build a nest. then they Lay the Eggs and the Incubation begins.
That could be one Female who take Care of the egg or Both. How it is, is the Question of the Dinosaur species. After Time the Baby Hatches.
Third: Now its a very complicated thought of myself . baby Behaviors and Family Tree and Paranting Bahaviors and More.
Now the Baby is hatched, its still very small and needs be Feeded. Important is that the Parents have a feeding mechanismen how Long the small one is still a Baby
The baby regnognize his Parents by the Family tree feature wher e stands who are the Parents. Other Dinosaurs are Herdmembers and friends eccept Meateaters to Meateaters example two T-rex familys . Meateaters will try kill the Babys Like Gallimimus, when they are not the Parents at all.
The Babys change their Behaviors and needs during Grow up. At first they dont have no influence of the Social Need of an Adult Dinosaur at all and Paniking like Struthios and Gallis when they are in Danger. when they Grow UP the Bahavior Changes with the Size of that offspring and this of the Parents at all
Hatchling/Baby:
-Size of a Raptor or Troodon by Meateaters like T-rex Spino and other Big an Medium Meateaters some smaller by Raptors Dilo and Co.
- No Influence on Social Needs by Parents and other Dinos of that kind
- Get hunted Down Like Gallimimus very Easily by Non Parents Dinosaurs
- Needs special Care of the Parents with meat and water in the hatchling phase
-Juveniles eat and drink of their own but not Hunting
Growth Phase between Juvenile and Subadult:
-Begin Hunting smaller Herbs Like Gallimimus and Smaller Babys of their Kind
- Gets Hunted Down Like Bigger Planteaters Like Majasaura or Parasaurolophus
-gets Attacked by Raptors and Fights against them
- making first Teritorial Fights against Siblings
-Social Affection by Parents is 10% from the Basic social needs of the entire Social Need of an Adult Dinosaur
Subadult:
-Fightining Against smaller Carnivores Like Baryonyx, Metri, Cerato, Sucho
- Social Influence is now 60 percent of the Entire Socialneed of the Dinosaur
- Youngsters should be Seperated from Parents
-Parents Loosing Parent State and Attacking the Youngster when Parametres are not right at all.
Adult:
Beeing Breedable for the Next Generation
The Parents Mother and Father passing the Genes 50:50 on that Baby one
for Example a Tundra Skin fully modified father can Passes 50% of his genes on this small one so coming a Tundra and a Normal one
Gender will be passed on a 50:50 Percentage even when the Genit issue is not active this is important even for the After Generations then the First Baby is Grown Up.
when More Dinosaurs are Born, the Family tree is growing as well

I was thinking about this.
I think in the HCL it should be free to get a random gender. Or pay to fix it to male or female.
In the park a dino at 100% genome can never change gender. But any at less than 100% would have other DNA to fill the gaps. And so all male or all female would see some changing gender.
Add in young and teen forms to go with current adult ones.
Add in animations for dinos stealing eggs, protection young, attacking young, eating young, etc.
Add building options to place nests. Require them for egg laying.
Just turn mating into an impression or hint as if socializing. Egg laying could be obscured by a fog or something to shield the sensitive kiddies.
Really hoping they do this in some form at least.

It would be good if the parents defended the puppies, imagine ... the ceratopsids surrounded the puppies forming a barrier in a circle

-Possibility to sell more dinosaurs
-Male dinosaurs fighting for territory
-Possibility to create a self-sufficient ecosystem in sandbox mode
It's not boring, it gives you a lot of different things. We have talked before and I agree that we need other content before, but then could come a DLC paid for nests, I would pay. I would like new attractions but my idea is to focus on the dinosaurs not in the park, although I do need some additions. Do you understand Me? It may be difficult, but I think the Frontier can do it, not just me, many want a DLC of nests. Many would pay to have that content
You forgot the extra layer of difficulty for Challenge and Campaign modes if you cannot know what gene combinations actually create males AND the critical egg-laying, nesting and hatching occur under forest cover. Since you wouldn't know there were more dinosaurs within the enclosure until they are mature enough to disrupt the social balance, you might well find yourself suddenly overcome by lots and lots of social-related tantrums and breakouts.
Having said that, however, I still agree with others in that this is all wishful thinking and that the base game still needs a whole lot more things to implement before turning devs' attention elsewhere...
