Dinosaurs DINOSAURS RUN TOO MUCH

I think dinosaurs tend to run too much. For example, as soon as they have decided to eat, they are running towards the feeders, the same when they are thirsty. It looks like a child who has just realized that he wants to pee haha. The dinos should move while walking, which would make the behavior more natural. Same thing when they escape, I understand that they run when pursued with jepp or the helicopter but they never stop... What do you think ?

Well, if that bothers you, I'd say invest in some slow moving dino's.

Take the recent added Nigersaurus for example.
This chubby sauropod isn't one of the fastest and sure is taking it's time to do her thing.

Getting a park filled with the Nigersaurus and other sauropods will surely show the guests that you can take it easy. :)

The question was not there, I like to see the dinosaurs run, I just think it's too often and for reasons not really logical ... The t-rex for example, they run all the time, for to drink, to eat, when he escapes... he has time, why run? haha

Perhaps they run to keep their shape?
Let them run, they're active.

I'm quite fine with how they behave, hence why I posted it like that. :)

I actually agree with the OP and, sorry, but this is a cheap answer.

No animal on Earth (human beings aside) does anything in exchange for nothing. If either hunger or thirst were such a pressing urge, they wouldn't be running in order to even more quickly waste the scarce bodily resources, but would have begun searching for food and water much sooner, at a normal pace.

Not only that, but the way dinosaurs run in game is also annoying and unnatural, not in answer to any alarming stimuli, but just because of the sake of running a few meters and hardbrake there. I mean, why?

Running animations should be left for panic states, and the hunger/thirst level/other needs meters should have higher limits to trigger the natural moving towards whatever is needed before entering in critic state.

Hey Alan, that's okay.
My reply was meant to be funny anyways.

Cheap as it was, it was funny for the moment. :p

But let's see where this suggestion will take us.

Your answer made me laugh reassure you!

And indeed I agree, the Dinos are animals like any other they do not waste their energy for nothing, especially for the bigger ones. A raptor runs to move, why not, but a T-rex ...

They're bored?

I mean, that's why zoos have enrichment programs these days for their animals, because they would often display certain behaviors they wouldn't in the wild (like big cats pacing their exhibits).

What bugs me is when you are driving a JT truck and all of the dinos run away. Doesnt happen when you "ride" in the truck only when driving. I kind of hate that its like this for the ranger jeep as well but I figured that is for gameplay reasons to make it harder to tranq them.

That could be the case here, raptors like to run, but goats are static when they hunt, it might be interesting to see them chasing a goat ... Ditto for T-rex (And other large predators in general ), I understand they run for a goat but I do not understand why they run to the pile of meat ...
Moreover to go back to the goat, what good is it to let them wander if it stops to die, as much to tie them as in the movies ...

Actually, I also proposed something similar if I didn't get anything wrong you said.
