Dinosaurs with feathers

What about some skins to add feathers in some dinos? Like the troodon and velociraptor, dinos that are known to have feathers. And make it a achievement like the skins we receive in the challange mode.

I think feathers should be reserved for select dinosaurs if they were to ever come into JWE, specifically Velociraptor males. This would mean that males also make it into the game. I also wouldn't mind seeing it on dinosaurs primarily depicted with feathers like Therizinosaurs and Dromaeosaurs. I wouldn't want to see a Rex with feathers.

While i would generally not want to see feathers on most things due to canon and personal preferance, if we get a featherless therizino i would be extremely upset. It looks like a naked tueky eithout feathers and in teh film canon the therizino is actually depicted with feathers in the first JW movie so... gimme my giant feathered death turkey Frontier!

Honestly, Universal could retcon the canon and give us giant feathered dinosaurs.

Weren't feathered giants discredited? Everything above a few tonnes would have vestigial at best.

Pretty much. Animals above 2 tonnes probably lacked extensive feather covering, although this doesn't rule out restricted plumage. Deinocheirus was a 6-ton animal with a pygostyle (= almost certainly had a fan of feathers on the tail)

Colin Trevorrow's recent interview on Jurassic Outpost leaves the feather option open for the next film. At the very least he has softened his stance since the first JW =

You’ve said Jurassic World 3 will have the most accurate dinosaurs yet. What exactly does that mean for a Jurassic film, feathers or otherwise, and what – if any – lessons have you learned from designing dinosaurs on the past two films?

CT: We’re not looking to alter the dinosaurs from the previous movies. Those are established characters to me—they were made with reptilian DNA bridging the gaps in the genome and they have their own identity. But now we’re headed into a world in which the ability to clone a dinosaur is no longer exclusive to Dr. Henry Wu. That leads to innovation, and new opportunities for us to introduce species that represent the full spectrum of our knowledge.

Yutyrannus is the largest animal known with a full feather covering. Based on skin impressions it seems that T. rex was at least partially scaly and there is no direct evidence of feathers on T. rex yet. But using phylogenetic bracketing it's reasonable to assume that even larger dinosaurs that descended from smaller feathered dinosaurs had at least some feathering. A bit like Elephants still have hair. When looking at a distance, you'd think an Elephant is bald, but up close you'd still see that it has hairs even though it doesn't need a full furry covering.

This is JURASSIC WORLD and dinosaurs don't have feathers.
Again, Indominus rex has protofeathers/quills just like the raptors in JP3.
Full feathery covering isn't really a thing in the Jurassic franchise. But I would love to see at least some more protofeathers/quills.

If they add feathered dinosaurs, you guys are going to hate it. This engine is not fit for feathers having at all as much fidelity as the rest of the game. It'll look hideous. Be careful what you wish for.

"would be met with extreme prejudice if it wasn't perfect"

Still, it's a risk I'm willing to take
