The fact that there's new discoveries made almost monthly about what dinosaurs looked liked and how they behaved, would simply provide another excuse for some to rant if FD deviated even slightly from what they're expecting based on the latest NatGeo article/Jurassic Park movie/Discovery documentary..

Most of the pictures describe a creatures definitely with a lack of intelligence, but at the same time, so disgusting, that they can be attributed to the type "not averse to shoot at". I would like to remind, that Thargoids belong to a race of highly intelligent creatures, capable of coordinated operations, otherwise how else do you explain their disappearance: all and at once.
In the presence of intelligence is no doubt that they have sufficient knowledge to travel in space (ships, bases etc.) and sufficient power to conduct military operations with representatives of other civilizations. And so, dear artists, take the trouble to clothe the Thargoids, at least in primitivnoe kind of space suit (in our case bio-symbiote).
Considering the Thargoids knowledge in biology and medicine (living ships and buildings), it seems ridiculous the fact, that people managed to invent some biological weapon (possibly a virus) that Thargoids are unable to cope. Their disappearance could really be, simple precaution retreatment (fatal risk are better shall studied from a safe distance). However, as an option, they could switch to a stronger threat, in the end, humanity is in the peripheral parts of the galaxy and has no idea about the forces that spread its influence to the rest of the galaxy, for many millions of years.
