Direct HMD Access seems to work

Hello

As I started Elite last week to play some I realized it automaticly found my DK2, had it plugged in but not on me so that was a happy suprise.

But when I stardet play with it It was veeeeeery blurry, and tracking was super unstable, really unplayable.

Does that show I have not good enough specs or is it just the direct to rift not perfectly optimized?

i7-2600k cpu 3.40Ghz (8 CPUs)
16gig Ram memory

GeFirce GTX 670 6gig memory

overclock that beast cpu to 4.5 ghz easily and see the wonders.

it doesnt support direct.

you have to play in extended mode, but in the ED settings select monitor 2 for the Oculus.
(so its kind of like direct...)

As indicated. While the game sees the rift in direct mode, it does not play well with it. Currently ED is best played in extended mode. I suspect that this may change as Oculus updates its drivers and accesses the Rift through a different mode that will force FD to either update or drop DK support (That would be in preparation for the commercial releases (CV1 and / or Vive) coming up).

No point in FD looking at the rift code till then.
