Direct X

First of all, sorry for being a complete and utter idiot in terms of this, but I'm really confused and felt like I needed to ask...

My graphics card only supports up to Direct X 10, but the current alpha specs (and I would be surprised if this changes) say that ED needs Direct X 11. So my question is this:

Will I need to get a new graphics card that can use Direct X 11, or will it work with my current one, but just not look or work quite so well?

So Elite (currently at Alpha/Beta) only needs a DX10 graphics card. Your operating system must support DX11 though.

You don't need Dx11 to play Elite Dangerous Premium Beta as a must have for now I don't think.

Direct X 9.0c would do: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=34429 worked for me.

Elite Dangerous Premium Beta asked for XINPUT1.dll and that is from DirectX 9.0c and I am already on Dx11.

If on Windows 8, you should get DX updates via 'Windows Update'.
