Directional indication on the FSS?

After I tune into a frequency on the FSS, is there a more general indicator as to which direction to turn, in addition to the little while arrows after you are pointed in the correct direction?

I just treat the FSS like a remote probe with 360 degree visibility. Tune, move mouse in direction of signal arrows. You should see the direction arrows swing round the inner circle as you get closer to the signal souce/planet etc.

So, the arrows around the inner circle is the only indication. I was hoping that I was missing something.

Yes, its trial and error panning.

I've was told its amazing and the majority of people like it when i raised the issue.

Is kinda fun as a mini game, but not faster then flying, except for the larger systems.
