Directional space sounds?

This thread reminded me i've heard some gargling and clapping on galmap, looking from some nebulae to inhabbited bubble. Sounded like some weird insect... Luckilly i recorded something, will try to post it tomorrow.

it sounded like it was locked to some place in galaxy because as i moved camera it changed position and volume. I had 7.1 headphones so it was easy to recognize but im afraid video will be worse

Where's the actual video proof of this though? If there's a post already i've missed it. I'm just sceptical about this being an ACTUAL thing.

I find it extremely annoying they would spend all this time programming something like this, neglect to TELL anyone in anyway (though given the way the game works it's unsurprisingly if they didn't bother to explain it) and then NOT even bother programming a half decent map search system or any way to index the stars correctly.

Did someone study music instead of basic cartography?

Curses! This makes me wish I'd actually stopped to listen to the "terrestrial planet with Ammonia-based chemistry indigenous Ammonia-based life" rather than just doing an orbit and shooting off to the next one. Wonder what that would have sounded like? Probably nothing, but still...

And the station sounds - just wow! Docked at an outpost for the first time in ages a while ago, and Lord was it creepy.
