Never heard of onionhead, never used it, never been to Tanmark... don't look at me like that!

Anyway i repair my ship regularly so that's not likely it. Thing is the interior of my anaconda seems dirtier then i remember it being when i first bought it several days back. Then again, my memory is known for being very bad.

I don't believe they get dirtier, but some of them (as well as ship hulls/paintings) look dirty , old, rough and unkempt from the start.

For some reason, someone decided that it would be cool that brand new ships look like something you just assembled from spares you got in the local junkyard.

It is not just here, most ships in SC are just like that, too.

If a bought a new car with a messed up paint, a seat that looked like it was half eaten by an army of mutant rats, and stuff like that, I would be quite mad... :)

How long since you've seen a station?

Yes the windows get marks on them, most noticeable when the sunlight hits it.

I think it might disappear with fixing your wear & tear, but I don't remember, and I'm out in deep space so can't drop into a station to check it.

The canopy and helmet faceplate are dirty as hell all the time. When the lighting hits them right, they're downright nasty looking. People have talked about that since Beta, if not before, asking for an option to have 'clean' glass, FD has ignored the subject entirely as far as I know.

You'd think someone could invent Windex or something in that era. They have lasers, FTL travel, ships capable of long interstellar flights that take them thousands of LY away from civilized space, and no one knows how to clean dirty glass. :D

If I had my way, my cockpit would have wrappers and empty cups all over the place. XD

Wait.. so you're saying that lemon lime Gatorade I found rolling around on the floorboards....

Oh my, the dockmaster back at the last starport is in for a surprise....

Rolling? You're using ArtGrav and not sharing? If you weren't a notorious pirate ace I would totally come after you for that.

Ever tried powering down everything except power unit/distrib & life support and watched the windscreen freeze over? :)

ETA: Reminds me of winter in a few places I lived as a student.

The starport had gravity, yes. I haven't yet figured out how to do that in the ship. If I try spinning the ship like the station, eventually I end up with whatever I had for breakfast decorating the flight deck, walls, ceiling, etc....

I'm still working on it though. :D

Would you want to walk outside to clean the windshield? It's OK, just hold your breath.

Man I have to say, I LOVE that there are dirty ships in the game. If they were all clean like imperial ships or like the eagle I would be so bored. But I've always been a Star Wars guy so maybe that's where my love for junky ships comes from.
