disable chat window focus

I looked around and can't find anyone having this issue with OR, and I just find it strange but in beta 3 and still now in beta 3.9 whenever I look to the left in station menu the interface freezes and the mouse pointer disappears because the chat window gets focus instead. It really makes it frustrating to play with oculus rift for me when I cant look over to the left in the station menu. I can't believe no one else is having this issue, am I just missing something?

I have this since beta 3 I wrote a ticket but it has been closed now because of 3.9 and upcoming gamma. I will write a new ticket when gamma starts because I think it is really annoying.
