Cannot seem to find the megaship anywhere in said system. honestly a pretty boring and time consuming quest for something i need to progress. flew around system for an hour nothing here...

Have you honked and then used the FSS? That should help you locate it.

Or scanned the nav beacon. The problem with these missions is you have to know how to play basic parts of the game, very confusing for some

Sorry im an idiot i figured it out. i had changed hotkeys and forgot, was pressing the wrong button for hours lol

It happens. I once spent hours trying to find a Full Spectrum Scanner before discovering it is fitted to all ships as standard. Glad you got it worked out.
