Disable Menu UI when free looking

I know it was discussed 100000 times, but I still cant figure out how to disable it.
The closest thing I got was to disable UI with ctr+alt+g, but it disable in screen only, and still open the menu when you freelook.
I could not find anywhere a option to disable in options menu or in the game, is there a way to disable this ? Its impossible to properly drive a srv with this.

Yes, in the controls section there are options to disable pop up menu's on look and only open on hotkey, I just have mine set to numbers, this will also disable them in the ship itself and they can be brought up with the same hotkey there, so it's not in the SRV specific section of the setting menu, it's in the general UI settings options. I can't remember exactly what it's called and can't bring up the game at the moment to check, but it's definitely there.

I had mapped to keys and still the head moving activate the menus... What section you are referring ?
In Controls / General Controls / Interface Mode -> I count not find any option here, all its set to keys and it seems to be related to navigation in the menu only.
Maybe somewhere else ?

You have mapped the hotkeys, now you need to find the section where it says something like "activate interface on look," as I said I can't get into the game at the moment to check for you. Looking through old threads gave me this, i don't know if this is current with Odyssey menu's;

Good luck. If I get a chance tomorrow and you are still having the same problem I will check in game, but it's definitely there...somewhere, it can be a little, umm, confusing sometimes.

I also have them disabled, even though I play with a controller. I prefer that when I look around the panels don't appear. There's really no use for having them appear (it's actually more useful for them not to, because it allows me to look out the canopy without the panel blocking the view.) If I want them appear there are key combos for that specific purpose.

Then check in the SRV menu for the same options? I know I have turned them off and they don't work in the ship or SRV, but they did change the controls layout when they let us start walking, so maybe they broke them up into 2 different sections, but everybody who already did it got it turned off automatically in the SRV because it was off in the ship.

Well at least we now know it can bug sometimes, annoying to have to reinstall the lot though to fix it.
