Disabling Announcement voices at stations

PLEASE ! PLEASE !!
There are so many options to tweak things in this game. I thought disabling those announcements when you dock at a station bay would be avaiable, but....
Its irritating to listen to them saying things every 10 seconds over and over again and the content does not vary very much across the galaxy, even with the different accents.
So, please, allow us to disable them if we want. Or increase the "cooldown" from 10 to 30-60 seconds, for the love of god.

I like them. Adds to the atmosphere for me but I agree they could be varied or have different channels you can listen in to like some sort of GalNet radio stations etc.

Do you really dislike this feature? It's immersive for me, however I would prefere a greater "cooldown" between messages too!

Yup. A little more variety and a greater cooldown wouldn't hurt... Perhaps a "dim" option (or perhaps "earplugs") in the right panel (default keystroke 4) options could be added, to lower their volume at let's say 20% of normal...

You misunderstand me. Never said i didn't like it, i said i was annoyed by how frequent they are. That was the whole point of my post. With about 40 hours in the game and a lot of time trading i guess i can say i've heard every sfx they have for those announcements. Like the one that says "checked your bay number ? check again!" was great hearing for the first time, but by now all i can think is "why the hell would i do that?" lol

i guess i can say i like the idea and how well they've made it, but i liked having them there when i was starting out. By now it became too repetitive. I've had times i would just take my headset off my ears

Perhaps the frequency of those announcements could be inversely proportional to the hours the user has played the game (the longer one has played the game, the fewer these announcements would be heard). It might be better if just some music was heard when docking (from a distance, as if heard by speakers). Would love to hear among others, the docking sequence of the original Elite...
