Disabling HUD and other stuff

Hey guys,

Does anyone know how to disable the HUD and the ship interiors?

I ask because I want to take some 8k resolution screenshots of various systems in the game while exploring, and some 4k resolution shots of combat.

Example (from my Space Engine collection):

You cant disable the ship's interior. You can enable/disable the HUD via ALT-SHIFT-G

That may not work after the latest update, when testing in BETA it seems to have changed (Again)

Aw dang.

I wish Solo mode had the option for replay. or some sort of battle recorder.

Game is too beautiful not to take photos. If the ships gotta be in them, at least in Third Person, you know?

Just buy a sidewinder and disable the HUD, your view will be perfectly clear through the roof. Clipper also has a massive unobstructed canopy

I just checked and it is ALT-CTRL-G (Left hand CTRL button)

Seems like there's a bug though: every element of the HUD disappears (and that's good) except the circles for planets/stars (and that could be bad...). Don't think it's meant to work that way :D

You can turn that off with the orbit lines option in the right hand control panel.

Hi - I had the same problem. I removed the HUD with CTRL + ALT + G but couldn't get rid of the targeting circle over the planet. I popped out to look at the galaxy map, targeted a new system & when I went back to the cockpit view the targeting circle was gone. So try that before taking a few snaps!

Hmmm...would that be something that would get turned off via flight assist?

Nope, flight assist is a flight control law, nothing to do with visual display's. They changed the Hud disable assignments, and what it disables. I should have logged a ticket in Beta, thought it was something obvious that would be fixed.

Thanks for the tip, but that did not work for me. Dropping out of supercruise seems to help though.

For me this is a major annoyance - the only reason to explore at all for me are for the screenshots, since making money certainly isn't viable as explorer.

@777Driver, apparently someone already did https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=109762

Unfortunately I don't imagine this bug will make the top of any priority list...
