Disappearing landing pad indicator - landing gear?

So, I did a bit of testing in a T-6 and I can reproduce that once inside a station, deploying the landing gear causes the landing pad indicator to disappear. It may or may not come back, that's pretty random, but once my landing gear's deployed the pad indicator vanishes.

Anyone can confirm that it's connected to landing gear?

Interesting. I'm not sure if it's connected, but I've also experienced this several times.

It may disappear on putting your gear down, but quite often with me its not on in the first place, as soon as I get through the box, zippo, nothing. Fortunately I have learnt where they all are. I will check the gear thing this evening.

Only noticed this since getting the Python, then every 1 in 5.
Mind you, that also coincides with the last patch...

EDIT - Whups, the landing pad numbers come and go as they please...

Nothing to do with the landing gear. Happens soon as you enter the station. Really annoying when it doesnt come back

Happens to me since my Sidey. Used to freak me out to no end. Seems to trigger if you deploy landing gear inside the station. I had a couple of time when the markers never went up altogether, but not too often.

I can get the pad indicator always to get back on by moving around the station, though... seems like it is distance-related to me.

Nah, I always hit my landing gear from about a Km away from the entrance... so I am docking with my gear down the whole time, every time... and the indicators I see are sometimes there, sometimes coming and going, and one time it never showed up at all, I had to cancel my request and re-request.
