Well I'm a Kickstarter backer with only a copy of the game and not alpha or beta access (I paid £40) and I have access to the gamma, so perhaps you should contact support to get this sorted.

Mmm, maybe they are rolling it out in stages then. Why did you back so high if you could get a copy of the game for only £20?

Ha, well yes, I guess I just fancied having my name appear as an NPC! Anyway, if I were you I'd contact support, maybe there's something awry with your account that's stopping you getting in to gamma. I've only been able to play for a few hours, but I'm loving it so far!

Nope, there are a lot of people in the same boat as I am. Looks like we are only getting access on Wednesday. FD's communication is really poor.

Yes Gamma is set at the £35 backer level.

It will be available to all backers who have paid at that amount and above.

Left hand doesn't know what right hand is doing.

Michael says all backers with a copy of the game on their tier should already have access. Other moderator says only GBP42 and above. David says as of 22nd all kickstarter backers.

Michael says send an email to support@frontier.co.uk - that mailbox doesn't exist...

Gamma and Preview, have thrown disorder, no doubt. What is safe is that everyone can play, on December 16 (or the 17 for the less fortunate :p )

I wouldn't count on being able to play the game in the first 3-4 days. Not without a great deal of frustration due to server issues etc.
